So Domestic it Hurts

My last semester in college I took a sewing class. And let me tell you it was pretty intense. Hopefully though I'll keep putting my newfound skills to good use and making cute clothes. My friend who is in the family and consumer science major says sometimes she feels "so domestic it hurts." Wearing clothes you've made definitely feels that way.

Here's a linen-blend skirt I made that seems to keep making it into my regular rotation. It's light, it's a good length and heck- I made it!

The Best Day of my Life

I got engaged! ahhhh! My boyfriend of over five years proposed to me last night and it was wonderful. It was sweet and I am beyond ecstatic. Short story: he led me on a scavenger hunt that ended at the place he asked me to be his girlfriend (hiking trail- hence the wooded background). He had our closest friends holding up signs that led to him proposing. Luckily I looked cute because my best friend was in on it and I thought we were going out to dinner to have a girls night. I am so excited to marry my best friend.
